How far along?: 29 weeks!
Total Weight Gain: 11 pounds
How big is baby?: Sam is about 17 inches long and around 3 pounds!
Food cravings?: Ice cream sandwiches and del taco.
Belly button in or out?: Still in, I don't know if it will pop out or not.... looks like it's going to keep stretching till it dissapears, lol.
What I'm looking forward to: Now that we're in the 3rd trimester I'm looking forward to my baby shower which is coming up in the next month!
Milestone: We've pretty much passed all the important milestones, now it's just plumping up and getting ready to face the world. There's only 77 days till my due date!
Feelings this week?: Hiccups, hiccups, hiccups. I swear Sam has the hiccups all the time now. At night usually. His head is also harder and when he moves I can tell where his head is versus the rest of him. I've had pretty bad allergies the last few days, but it's starting to clear up finally...I also had my Dr's appointment today it was pretty routine and very simple. The measured me and suprisingly I haven't grown any in the last two weeks, but I have gained weight... Dr. Skiles said not to worry because the position of the baby can affect the measurments. Also she asked me if we were thinking about Pediatricians yet. I told her about my Sister-in-Law Sarah's Pedi and that we were thinking of going with him...it was totally awesome because we found out that Dr. Skiles has known him for the last 20-odd years and she highly reccomends him. So if there were any doubts about whether we were going with him before, there aren't any now. It's very nice to have a reccomendation like that from not only my SIL whom I trust completely, but my Dr too. We are going to call him to see what we need to do about joining his patient list. I also scheduled us for our classes! Yay! They start at the beginning of June, but we are taking a tour on Sunday in a few weeks, then I'm scheduling my pre-admission appointment for the last Wednesday in May. I can't believe we're getting to this part already!

Belly button in or out?: Still in, I don't know if it will pop out or not.... looks like it's going to keep stretching till it dissapears, lol.
What I'm looking forward to: Now that we're in the 3rd trimester I'm looking forward to my baby shower which is coming up in the next month!
Milestone: We've officially hit the third trimester! Yay! Only 12 more weeks to go!
Feelings this week?: Well I passed my glucose test! Yay! But I am anemic and low on iron so I have to take an iron pill on top of my prenatal vitamin. Also I am running out of breath really quickly now. I have to slow down to do things other wise I end up gasping for air. I am going to talk to the Dr about it at my next appointment, but I don't think they'll be able to do anything. My tailbone is also starting to hurt a little and I have a horrible time getting up out of a sitting position now. It is a struggle, lol. But it's all worth it when I feel my little sweetie bouncing around in there. He gets the hiccups a lot now, I first noticed it a few days ago, and now it's like he gets them once a day, lol. All in all still feeling pretty good this week, but I feel the uncomfortable part of the third trimester banging on my door.

Update 27 Weeks!
Total Weight Gain: 10 pounds
How big is baby?: Sam is around 2 lbs 6 oz, though he may be bigger.
Best moment this week?: Seeing my sweet little one at the ultrasound today!
Food cravings?: Mostly cold, cold water, anything to rid me of this constant heartburn!
Belly button in or out?: Still in, I don't know if it will pop out or not.... looks like it's going to keep stretching till it dissapears, lol.
What I'm looking forward to: We'll we've switched to biweekly appointments, so I get to go to the Dr more often!
Milestone: This is officially my last week in the 2nd trimester!
I also had my regular Dr appointment today and it was pretty uneventful, my blood pressure is really awesome and I gained 4 pounds which my Dr says is perfect since she wants me to gain around a pound a week. I also had the glucose test but I won't know whether I passed that or not for another few days. The drink made me so nauseous I thought I was going to barf, but I kept it down and I hope I passed it. That was pretty much it, oh and Sam's heartbeat is ringing in at around 156 BPM. So so far the myth about heartbeats has been totally wrong!

What I'm looking forward to: The next 3-D ultrasound, next Wednesday!!
Milestone: Sam is opening his eyes now!
Feelings this week?: This week has been uncomfortable. I know everyone tells me that this is only the beginning, but I can't get rid of this heartburn to save my life. My doctor told me at my last appointment that I could take Pepcid AC if it got too bad and I never had an issue until now, it's like breathing is giving me heartburn, and I'm going through tums like crazy. I had a full bottle at work and a full bottle at home before this week and they are both almost completely empty. Luckily tums is just extra calcium, and I don't like milk anyway so it's probably good that I'm getting the extra calcium. Still, I would like at least one heartburn-free day. I also tire extremely easily now. AJ and I walked around Lowe's for a little bit and we did a little yard work, (I admit I mostly watched.) by the end of it I was so tired I took a two hour nap. Despite all the exhaustion and being uncomfortable though, I love my little man more every day... And it seems like the third trimester is catching up to me fast, only two more weeks and I'll be in it, closer and closer to the day I get to meet my sweet Samuel.

What I'm looking forward to: The next 3-D ultrasound should be coming up soon!
Milestone: His lungs are jumping the milestones and almost ready for that first breath of air.
Feelings this week?: As always, I am happy. Nothing eventful happened this week really. It was benefits week at work and I signed up for a flexible spending account for the June 2010-June 2011 year. A flexible spending account is for health stuff, so my insurance I pay a maximum out of pocket of $2,500 for the year. So I took out an FSA of $2,500 so in June I will get a card with $2,500 on it and I can put it towards anything health related. Then the amount just gets taken out of my paycheck pre-taxes. I figure that I will have to pay for this anyway, so I might as well take the money out of my check automatically. So I am covered really for all the medical expenses that might come up with having Sam. Then if there are extras left over I need to get some dental work done and I am going to take care of that.

24 Weeks!
How far along?: 24 weeks!
Total Weight Gain: 8 lbs.
How big is baby?: He's really growing now! Sam should be about 1 1/2 lbs now and 13 1/2 inches. Gosh he is getting big!
Best moment this week?: AJ started talking to my tummy this week, it's adorable!
Food cravings?: Cereal, Ice Cream, water
Belly button in or out?: In
What I'm looking forward to: The next 3-D ultrasound should be coming up soon!
Milestone: Sam is to the point now where he will start gaining about 6oz a week. That's a pound every 3 weeks!!!
Feelings this week?: This has been a rough week for me. Some changes were made at work that make my job a lot more stressful than it has been the last few months. I am adjusting and I will be fine, but for a few days there it was extremely frustrating. It was this last week that made me realize what I'm really working for... it's not just to have something to do during the day but it's to help AJ support our family. Sam was a big help this week since whenever I was starting to get frustrated about something he would start kicking real hard like he was trying to tell me: "It's okay Mama." I am lucky to have him to help me get through those really frustrating days.

Doctor's Appointment
Just wanted to do a short update about my appointment, it went well and it wasn't very long. Dr. Skiles went over information about pre-term labor and what the signs are, and how to avoid them, though she said I didn't have any of the risk factors so she's not worried. Then she went over the Glucose test that I will be getting at my next appointment to test for gestational diabetes. She listened to Sam's heartbeat and measured me, I'm measuring 24 centimeters, so only a centimeter big this time, last month it was two. I'm glad it slowed down, I was starting to worry that I was going to have a very BIG boy on my hands, lol. Still worried about that, but this puts my mind at ease, at least for this month. Every time I have an appointment, I remember how much I LOVE Dr Skiles, she's such an awesome Dr.
While we were there we also got a list of classes. We're going to take Pre-Term Labor Prevention, this one is free so might as well take it, lol. Then we're taking the hospital tour, Baby Care, Breastfeeding, and Infant/Child CPR. So a lot of stuff we have to do. We're trying to plan them all the last week of May/first week of June. We were going to take the childbirth classes, but everyone I talked to who has taken them has told me that it's a waste of money. They say that they spend about 2-3 hours talking about your birthing options and the rest is all breathing and pain management. I don't know why but I wonder if because they are a Catholic hospital that they encourage natural childbirth. I'm actually going to get a bunch of books on labor and delivery and read up on the subject as well as talk to family and friends who have already had babies, I think that I will get as much information as I need from them.
All in all a good appointment and we got only 17 weeks (or 118 days) left! Only four weeks till I am in the third trimester. After that I think I start going every two weeks instead of every month. So exciting!!
